What clients look for before they book

Most new clients find a salon or barber on their phone, often in the evening, and make up their mind in a minute or two. They want to see your work, get a rough idea of the price, and book without calling.

• Your work, up front.

  Cuts, colour, fades, nails, lashes. A gallery of your own photos tells people more than any description, and the photos you already post on Instagram work fine.

• A service menu with prices.

  Even "from $45" helps. People hesitate to book when they can't tell whether a service is $40 or $140. We lay the menu out as text, grouped the way clients think about it.

• Booking in one tap.

  If you use an online booking app, the Book button goes straight to it from every page. No digging for a link in your bio.

• Your team.

  Stylists, barbers and techs, each with a photo and what they're known for. Plenty of clients book a person rather than a shop.

• The practical details.

  Hours, address, a map, parking, and your booking and cancellation policy, written plainly.
